Jack is a 3 year old Patterdale Terrier X from the Dogs Trust at Roden. After years of wanting a dog I finally took the plunge and drove up to Roden in April 2005. With over 160 dogs looking for homes, I thought I would have a difficult time choosing the dog for me……it was easy…..he picked me! How could I resist that appealing little face?
On the advice of the Dogs Trust I took Jack to training classes (yes, believe it or not, he has had some training!!!) and we gained our Puppy Foundation Award.
I had never thought about Agility until in April 2006 I found myself in the garden trying to teach Jack to play “fetch”….he just wanted to run around the garden squeaking his ball and not bringing it back. I went on the internet to seek some advice and one click led to another and I ended up on an agility website!
I now have a garden full of home made jumps, a kiddies play tunnel from Argos and a very amused husband.
Jack’s hobbies include – barking at birds, destroying his toys and disturbing other people’s agility classes!
